The Musashino Public High School is the first school that Eikichi Onizuka teaches at as a student teacher. He is assigned to the unruly Class O, and faces his first challenge as a teacher when Nanako Mizuki and several male students take compromising photos and blackmail him with them. He shows the punks a little "tough love" (beating them up and dunking them in a lake) to make them understand how teachers feel. The next day, he is amazed to find his class transformed into well-behaved students cleaning the school to make him look good. The principal is delighted and offers Onizuka a permanent job there when he finishes his training, but he is unable to get it since he misses the national teacher certification exam.
